That's not much of a Web site. (Course, it's too early to have anything more than a teaser site up; still gotta sell them Game Boy Advance games.)
But does this mean that DS is the name the system will be marketed as? At E3, they said that it would have a different name when it was released.

Have a more reliable Web site with the same info? I'm surprised they're not calling it Game Boy DS. It seemed to me that Nintendo had backed away from previous statements that the DS wasn't the Game Boy Advance successor.
EDIT: Never mind.

i think it looks pretty cool. now with stereo sound!
it looks sorta big to me. but i guess thats just the ol "picture with nothing to compare it to" thing.
i thought the GBA was going to be big until i saw it. its probably about that size, eh?

It's slightly larger than the original GBA, so not very big at all. But, damn, that design looks way better than the sample model at E3they certainly came through on that. Awesome. I'm a little bummed they didn't put an analogue stick on there, but oh well. Still psyched about it. Wish it would come out already! I held out on a GBA SP Classic for so long now just to get the DS instead, but the battle is tough.

The final PSP design looks sweet, too. Can't wait to try that out.
I wonder how Nintendo's going to work in their next Game Boy system into the product line. Will the GBA SP just be phased out in favor of the DSsince it plays GBA gamesand then introduce the next generation of Game Boy? Can I have a DS Classic, please?

Well, if people here attended E3 this year, they very well may have tried the DS. The PSP on the other hand, well, wasn't playable for many people there. Sony liked the idea of showing no games up and running on the floor, and keeping several units behind glass playing movies.
I personally didn't have time to play the DS, had too many things to take care of. The general impression I ght from my friend though was that it was very innovative for how it used different control inputs. Hard to say if this will sell or not, but I do give Nintendo credit for trying something new.
Hmmm, I gota say this looks good, might actually buy one.
Wonder how long till Nintendo makes the Nintendo game store. They have so many remakes of old games, if this thing can run N64 games and what not, they should seriously consider making a ROM store online like the iTMS. Heck... they could even get Apple to help em... think about it... Apple and Nintendo... the nifty aluminum products they could make!

yeh, I was thinking that too. I would accidentally hit it. I still think its chunky and ugly. It doesnt have that little bit of class like the PSP does.

1) oil paintings are NOT my cup of tea ... yet ....
2) the first one makes this look golden .. maybe that's why they released the first one .. ugh horrid ...
after seing the first concept psp ... then the finalized one ... all magazines showed the gleaming psp side to side with the ugly ugly ugly ds .. this one closes the gap..

hahahahaha ....true that.
Im psyked about both the PSP and NDS. But the site looks....pretty blan. Too much Black and White....kinda dull n not very exciting...not to mention it's in Japaneeses.
$200 vs $400 (approximations) That makes my decision for me.
