They look awesome, i am also thinking about having some sock-like chratch protection for my upcoming ibook (i plan to sew one, will post pictures later).
I'm just concerned in one thing and that's the material the socks or whatever are made of. If it's woollen it'll probably become somewhat static (but i don't know if that will have any effects), i plan to sew one in cotton fabric (or some other non static generating fabric).

But anyway, if didn't have inspiration to make one, i would probably buy those socks. They are very nice looking.
