i say go with the XL2. I didnt read what you have there, but comparing the XL2 to teh DVX100A, the XL2 is much better. They are more or less equal in quality, but XL2 has of course the Canon name, which comes with all of those available lenses. (and there are a LOT of lenses) The lens they provide you with is very good quality from what I understand, and as made clear by my previous sentence, is not a dedicated lens like the DVX100A. By the time you tac on the anamorphic converter for the DVX100A and the hundred or so for a shoulder mount, (both of which the XL2 have inherently) you may as well find a little more coin and get yourself the XL2.
