Yes, the AC charger (which is an optional accessory at this point) is dual voltage (220/120). iPods don't come with AC chargers anymore, they're meant to be charged with your computer, in which case if your computer is dual voltage, then you're golden.

You charge the iPod via Firewire or USB2, no matter what freakin voltage the computer has !

Yes, but your European iPod will have a volume cap on it too, thanks to France.

So what? It takes you 15 secs to get rid of it. Not too much of an inconvenience, even one caused by the French.

Yes but it will automatically change the spelling on all your tracks from "color" to colour" etc. when you synchronize.

That's just the case for minis, iPod 20GB as well as iPod photo ones come with AC charger. Dual voltage of course.

You will not a voltage converter, but depending on the country you are travelling to, you might still need an adapter to make your charger physically fit in the outlet.

Real question here isn't the voltage, which is a non-issue, but price. Buying in Europe will be significantly more expensive than in the US.

I have the oposite problem that you have. Does anyone from europe know if the have plug in charger thing in europe, cause of the differnt plugs?
