My elderly father just received his new monitor. Neither he or I are technically saavy so of course I was unable to connect the monitor to his cpu. More accurately, I was unable to get the monitor to work once I connected it. There were only three cables for us to use (and one of them was the power cable) so really there were only two cables to connect. All we get is a black screen. From the picture directions that came with the monitor, it appears we connected it correctly but, no go. The CPU he's using is a Dell Dimension 8100. Can someone please help us? We need detailed instructions because we're soj inept at this stuff. Many thanks.
