I'm fairly certain that the PRAM has been removed. It was included in a small bag and it looks like it leaked at some point. I am hoping not inside the unit. Will find out soon …

Sounds like a plan to me! Make sure the power connector hasn't worked a little loose on the MoBo while you're in there. Test the PRAM Battery, maybe?

about the only surefire way to tell is to pull it apart and hold the 2 motherboards next to eachother, notice mounting differences and clearance issues
