Well, for me the best thing about UNO is that I don't have to pay to use Shapeshifter and it's not continuously eating CPU cycles to skin in realtime

Just change the name.

When it's mounted on your desktop just rename it the way you'd rename a file or folder

You can also get the iPod updater and just restore the iPod. I think it should allow you to reset your iPod and rename it.

no this is the 2nd generation one. sorry no firewire cable, i misplaced it.

my ipod no longer syncs or mounts in itunes. i can see it in disk utility but not in itunes, even in the prefs it says "no ipod connected" quite the problem but only started once…
