I had a chance to grab a FW800 single 1ghz machine for $119 not long ago. That's less than I paid for my 533mhz DA a few years ago. I let it go because the shipping would have been…
I have used those kinds of batteries and holders on old PCs before, they work fine but all eventually leak. So I retrofitted quite a few machines to use coin type batteries (PCs) a…

I wanted to do something like that but don't know how. Would I have to solder the wires to the existing battery socket? If I could attach the wires without soldering, that would be…
I just got my G5 a few months ago. It's a single 1.8 Ghz. I got it for $125 to replace my aging G4 Digital Audio 733. The SATA card in my G4 wouldn't allow the system to sleep prop…
I don't have a G5 yet, but I hope to within the year.
The main thing which kept me away from the was reliability, many more G5 PSUs, boards, and processors cooked themselves to de…

Where did you get the 10 pack from?
I leave batteries in the units I use once in a while, but anything put into long term storage has the battery removed.

Wow! That's a good price!
Do you leave all of your systems setup and plugged in? If not, I wouldn't bother leaving a battery in them anyway. I've lost several computers to expl…
Since I needed a bunch I decided to go with a bulk purchase and managed to find 10 packs for $28 shipped. Nearly every beige Powermac and Quadra I have thinks it's 1956. 8-o
When I put the 1ghz G4 in my 7500 it wouldn't power up at first. It's a good thing I got an instruction manual because in the manual it says when you remove the old CPU you have to…

I've got pix on my camera, but I've misplaced my card reader and USB cable for my camera. And I have no idea how or where to upload them to the 'net anyway
As to the model number…
