Can the propeller work from a 62.6688Mhz clock? If so it's sampling can synchronised with the mac's pixel clock at four times.
Alternatively, can it not use a 78.336Mhz clock? So …
I can. The issue is the strange frequency. Most microcontrollers and processors are made today to use a evenly divisible clock frequency. I want to use the Propeller because it hav…
I still don't understand why you simply can't source the clock off the Mac motherboard. If you don't want to solder to it use an alligator clip. I'm sure there's somewhere you can …

Can't say I ever seen a complete computer out on trash day (there are people with trucks who roam around looking for things to fix/resell around here), but they do tend to end up o…

The RTClock / calendar / PRAM chip has its own 32KHz crystal. Everything else runs off the "16MHz" clock. If you don't care about serial baud rates, floppy read / write, or video s…
Yeah, I know! I am excited, with the release of Snow Leopard we'll be seeing all kind of curb things. Some day PowerMac G5s!
But this machine is the cutoff for newworld machines …

It has no other inputs though, it just is piggybacked onto the ATI 16MB Card. So now I am home and am going to power it up. I'll take a pic of the card for you.
The classic/II seem to be difficult to find info on. When I was killing mine I could not find too much info.

So is that fast? If the Macally keyboard is still there when I am going back I will snag it. And I will strip the iMac as well of the Ram and (Hopefully!) Airport card.
If I had a…
[EDIT] OK here are the specs from the back of the machine, 400MHZ, 256MB (None there but I have some RAM), Modem, 9GB U2SC (?), Keyboard, DVD, ATI Rage 16MB.

Seems like a RevB to me, I'll be able to stuff it with HDs and use it as a file server for my InsanelyWind projects.
I can make a 68Kmla account on the FTP part of it if people wa…
