The manual explains it best, but you rip the whole DVD. It will play just like the actual DVD in DVD Player if you do that.

In DVD Player, you just choose the VIDEO_TS folder in the "Open DVD Media" dialog. Then you hit play on the controller. You don't actually select a specific file.
