I like the trackball better, too. Apple was inconsistent in where they silk screened the model number. 210s-270s usually had it on the bottom of the LCD panel, 280s & 2300s…

Graphic Converter has a handy "Save for web..." menu item under File. It opens a dialog where you can resize, set the image format, and various other parameters.
Well scored there LCGuy! Getting the machine over 512MB will make a big difference in OS X - but it should still run adequately. And they make great DVD players, especially with …
Is it not possible to confirm what the machine is what based on the boot dialog?
If you want to confirm if a given compact Mac is an original 128k or 512k with 64k ROMs versus a 5…
I have 10.2.8 on my 700mhz Snow model and the speed is good but the lack of support for newer software keeps me from using it much. I only have 256mb in it, so until I can scrape u…

That's not exactly what Scott wrote:
The only surefire ways to know if it's enhanced (originally or not) are to look at the serial number (anything made in April 1986 or lat…
Here's where I am: I have the IIe running; I can get to the IIe profile page. I disassembled and cleaned the Apple 5.25" drive including the read head an re-assembled it. The LCIII…
Really? I was thinking Tiger would run fairly alright...compared to the tray loader, the exact same Panther install runs a lot faster on the slot load.
You know, its funny...back …
And with 512MB of RAM, I should even be able to run Tiger fairly decently on here.

Before you leave him negative feedback, I'd try and get onto him first, yes the board was sold "as-is", but you were told that it is a sealed, brand new part, and it is not.
Austin's Goodwill Compter Works is excellent, and there are several other computer recycle / resale operations, as you'd expect in a university town.

Stop using that word "RARE"! :beige:
My recommendation is not to use that RAM upgrade board. It looks like the PSU is the intact original first generation as well. It still has…
I must be the unluckiest guy when it comes to LCs.
Man did I get burned on this motherboard. It was not new. It was not sealed. It does not work. >
Looks like it…
