What is that supposed to mean? Are there others making a 10.2.8 compatible browser with up to date features?
(Oh Mr. Porter is the best Will Hay film EVAH!)
It makes me wonder why, if Opera can turn out an up to date browser that does not require Tiger, why can't anyone else?

I can second what Gil and LCGuy have written. The plastic HDD sled used by Apple for IDE (as they were, so long ago) was/is different in detail from that for SCSI HDDs. It has a …

Damn Apple and their stupid Interleaving thing!
Yes, I know …
I've had the HDD out of my 5260 (which uses the same shell) a couple of times..I can back up what Gil said...you have to REALLY haul on the HDD to get it out...be gentle, don't bre…

What machine are you installing 7.1 on, and do you have another old Mac to verify the network disk you made? Pretty much any Mac that came with a floppy drive will boot from the 7.…
So I had to just turn the machine off before the install finished and now when I boot up I get the old "The 'System' file on this startup disk may be damaged. The Installer can be …

An alternative to 7.1.1 is 7.5.3 (freely available from Apple; no need to download an unauthorized OS release of dodgy ancestry). If the size bothers you, just use Gamba's "digital…
Nope, just push up on the tab and pull out. It's possible that the hard drive was never touched, and after 10 years, it might take some force to get it out.
