to be fair strange things happen - I just dropped my powerbook and mashed a corner - never dropped it before, and its now 3 years old and looking weather beaten!

I would never befoul my laptop by bringing it into the crapper, but that's just me.

I don't do it, because I enjoy taking a break form the screen. But I don't see how it should be a problem. When you sit down, your hands are in exactly the same condition as before…
