PB1400 G3 — #5

The G3/400 uprade is probably the second best thing that can happen to any PB1400, just after being equipped with a TFT screen. If asked to spend 200 bucks to pimp a 1400c, I woul…

PB1400 G3 — #4

Wireless Card for a Lombard 333Mhz — #6

That Linksys device is a router, not a card. Also, the original Airport cards used chips made by Lucent/Agere, not Broadcom. They are known in the wireless biz as the Hermes chips…

Wireless Card for a Lombard 333Mhz — #3

If you're happy to settle for 802.11b, rather than 802.11g, an ORiNOCO card will work well on there, and even allow you to use the standard Apple AirPort software.

Wireless Card for a Lombard 333Mhz — #2

I think the Sonnet Aria Extreme card can do both if I'm not mistaken. It's kinda hard to find, but most used mac computer sites have it http://www.powermax.com/parts/show/c39916

PB1400 G3 — #3

No, doesn't make a lot of sense as beachycove said. From the looks of eBay US, you can get a Pismo 500MHz for around $250-300.

PB1400 G3 — #2

No, it is not worth it, if worth is calculated in terms of cold, rational thought. You can buy a Pismo for $200.

PB1400 G3 — #1

In your opinions, is it really worth shelling out $200 to bump my 1400 to a G3/400?

An OS 9 Install disc won't even 'see' the drive if OS 9 drivers were not installed when the drive was formatted, and before OS X was installed. You can install OS 9 into the same …
