SuperDrives! (the good kind) — #4

Yep, they most certainly are. Here is an article explaining the differences between auto-inject and manual-inject FDDs.

Omega driver on Mac disk — #16

The USB disk drive I bought can only read and write to PC FAT disks. Both a modern PC and my iMac can write to such a disk, but only a HFS disk can be used in the SE30. Getting the…

Installing internal HD in a II GS? — #10

Some have decided to put the HD into the System Saver on top of the IIgs. This way they can turn the HD on first. Sometimes you need to do this as the drives age they may need a fe…

SuperDrives! (the good kind) — #2

You can never have to many working superdrives, they also seem harder to find. I have a few spare auto inject and manual inject (at least I think I still have some autos). I like …

SuperDrives! (the good kind) — #1

The old kind, that is. :beige: Bought two of 'em on eBay the other day. Will come in handy - I don't have any spare auto-inject FDDs, only manual-inject.

Omega driver on Mac disk — #15

Amiga 2000 with Mac Emulator Hardware! — #3

Amiga hardware at that point was played out, we are better off with modular components instead of a few chips that run everything that cannot be changed without something breaking…

Amiga 2000 with Mac Emulator Hardware! — #2

That mac emulator must be pretty interesting. Its a shame the Amiga flopped so quickly, and its assets are left rotting. If only Apple bought what was left of old Commodore.

I have a year-old iMac. The SE30 has "LocalTalk". Click to expand... I'm really confused. If you have a year old iMac, why not just use the USB disk drive to make an HFS format…

Omega driver on Mac disk — #12

I don't have "PC Exchange". If the SE30 can't read a PC FAT formatted disk with the Iomega driver I'm still in a pinch. Making a HFS disk on a PC doesn't help either if I can't cop…

Hi guys, Today I managed to win an auction for a Commodore Amiga 2000 from a local seller. The seller was great (and may be a source of more vintage gear in the future!), but not…

Nice score. Yeah, Verbatim is now owned by Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (according to wiki) and have actually been owned by Mitsu since 1990.

Nice! 800k floppies are always nice to have. My only source of them are wiping old ones I have laying around here. BTW, did you get my PM regarding payment for shipping?
