Preview should be as fast or faster than anything on a PC. Make sure you are at least running MacOS 10.3 Panther.

Nada - Preview isn't faster - with these large size TIFF's. Unfortunately.,,,,

How much RAM do you have? That'll probably be the deciding factor when using Preview. It likes to store the entire image in memory.

Have you tried GraphicConverter yet? It's overkill if all you want to do is view TIFFs, but it may do what you want anyway.
