i recently bought a ipod mini from a friend and it has his name on it and i want to change it. does anybody know how to change the name? any help is appreciated thanks!

Just change the name.

When it's mounted on your desktop just rename it the way you'd rename a file or folder

You can also get the iPod updater and just restore the iPod. I think it should allow you to reset your iPod and rename it.
