Ah, ISTR someone wanted one for an original Mac II, the only machine that can use this one.

The trouble with that being that the LCIII requires a PLCC 68882.

nevermind. it started up finaly

file sharing won't start up. it has been sitting at the "File sharing is starting up..." screen for 15 minutes. this is a clean OS 9 install.

Just try setting up file sharing on the hard drive then.

Just try copying the "Apple Ethernet LC" extension onto the floppy. If that doesn't fit, try cutting out some of the unnecessary stuff. BTW, more hard drives: http://cgi.ebay.com…

Make sure you have the appropriate network extension installed! Since your Ethernet card is an Apple one, you just need the Apple Ethernet LC extension which can be found here.
