G5. I don't have a TV anyway.

i would survive without my dvr (digital video recorder) cable box. have to move back to windows? i'd rather not think about that.

I would go with the G5 because, like most here, I don't have a Tivo.

It's an easy choice, A G5 Mac running osX, but no Tivo.
