the very left edge looks like it has the slightest of slight amber colour, but it is almost unnoticable everything else seems great with it.

Congratulations, a great deal! How's the color, any shift toward amber around the edges? I picked one up several years ago to upgrade the 15" version I started my parent's out with…

The Duos can use a normal PowerBook G3/iBook Clamshell/PB 1400/2300/3400/Duo adapter, so they're easy to find. There are tons of generic ones on eBay for about $12 shipped.

Both the PBs are Duo 230s. No power cords, one is missing the trackball, but cosmetically not too bad other than some minor scuffing.

Hello everyone — #5

If you're going to spend any money, I'd suggest a Digital Audio G4 or up. They're ridiculously cheap, but not quite at the occasional kerb score level like the G3s. You'll have a…

Another place to ask is on a local Freecycle list. While some people still pay for G3 Macs, they are quite old and you may stumble across someone who has one tucked away in the ba…

Hello everyone — #2

Hello, I'm a forum lurker, so don't expect much posts from me, although I will be lurking around this forum for a while (probably until my sudden desire for a mac disappears, but t…

Sawtooth RAM Question — #6

If you have a copy of Tech Tool Pro 4 or the Apple Hardware Test disk that came with that Sawtooth, you can run that after installing the RAM to determine if any sticks are bad. Y…

iMac G4 Flat Panel Won't Recognize Drives — #12

Sounds to me that maybe the jumper settings on the hard drive and the optical drive needed to be checked. IIRC, both drives are linked to the same IDE cable. Therefore, you could…
