Did you try and do a reset on it? Or try a different usb cable?

I did try a different USB cable and it didn't work, and likewise I tried her USB cable with my iPod and that worked. I don't know how to reset the iPod though.

A "CD book on tape"? Hmmm... Anyway, make sure every CD track is highlighted and then choose Join CD Tracks from the Advanced menu. That way, each CD will be just one file. Chris

Same here. I am kind of annoyed at myself for not getting the Sendstation pocketdock and using a standard firewire cable I already have.
