Hmm... I got into open firmware, did "setenv boot-args -v" and then "mac-boot", still no verbosity. Just the grey apple, which doesn't tell me much.

If this fixes the bloody annoying iChat "yourownusername did not respond" issue when trying to start a video/audio conference then this will be far more than just "intel" fixes...
