Before you do ANYTHING with your avi's, run them through DivX Doctor/ and save them as self-contained Quicktime movies. You'll have a lot more success from that point. Chris

i get a much faster and fuller charge from the G4 tower than from my powerbook. i think golfer099 is right about the ports shutting power down when the laptop is asleep.

AFAIK you can not charge via USB while the Mac is asleep, but you can do it via FireWire.
