my shuffle has a silicon case that grips the cord so it works well as a cord minder. i call it a smarter wrap since i didn't waste more money on yet another ipod accessory.

I don't think mine has ever correctly synchronized that info.

The shuffle updates playcounts, but does NOT report the time last played information... b/c it doesn't have a clock.

Here's a link to a script that updates it to the current time. I haven't tried it out yet.
