Forum Suggestion: System 6, 7 , 8 ,9 Sub-Forums? — #7

The current software forum doesn't have enough posting traffic to warrant splitting it up into sub-forums. Like others have said, most system software discussion between System 7 a…

Forum Suggestion: System 6, 7 , 8 ,9 Sub-Forums? — #6

This is a bad idea and a waste of time. Why would we want so many sub-forums? Simply leaving things in the Software forum is fine. There is no need to change how things are being…

Forum Suggestion: System 6, 7 , 8 ,9 Sub-Forums? — #5

A lot of what applies to System 6, 7, 8, or 9 also applies to each other. Additionally, the volume of posts is not that great. I don't think sub-forums are needed.

Macintosh 512+ Oddities... Any ideas? — #13

Forum Suggestion: System 6, 7 , 8 ,9 Sub-Forums? — #3

Post count would be a horrendous idea because we've had trouble with it in the past. Back before the Great Crash of 2007 we had a post count display and actually had ranks based o…

Forum Suggestion: System 6, 7 , 8 ,9 Sub-Forums? — #1

I was thinking that maybe instead of just the "Software" forum we could have Sub-Forums for each of the system softwares up to OS 9? I'm not sure if this has been discussed before.…

Just as a useless note, SheepShaver will let you go down to 16/4 colors and B&W. On a PPC machine it runs using native CPU, thus it's potentially a more useful option then …

I hope that doesn't mean you don't plan on opening the case again. Aside from the fan, your analogue board is showing signs of age, despite adjusting your voltages the Mac is exhib…

I always thought it had something to do with the VRAM. If you had too much VRAM you could not take the Mac down to black and white. I think the cutoff was 2 MB. I remember that my…

Are you sure? I don't think I've ever seen any PCI based Mac that could go down to 16 colors or B&W. The lowest you can go is 256 greys.
