It is probably a combination of what Unknown_K said and the fact that I think the "remaining time" shown while its plugged in is time until fully charged.
Are Lombard batteries anything like Wallstreet ones? On a Wallstreet the lights on the battery are on when it is charging and when fully charged they go out.
