The ones from Trag have a thin, red line on the one side. That's the positive side.

yes, can type almost always indicate the negative side, where as tants are marked on the positive side

I'll venture a guess; you've put the capacitor in backwards. The tiny stripe on the capacitor should point towards the "+" on the motherboard. I *think* this is opposite the factor…

Ya I would bet almost anything the logicboard is fried. Unfortunately about the only solution is to replace it with another. Hold onto it as a parts unit or sell it off.
