Hmm... I got into open firmware, did "setenv boot-args -v" and then "mac-boot", still no verbosity. Just the grey apple, which doesn't tell me much.

Man, I feel like a tool but I should post this: I'm impatient, eMac is slow... for some reason after the update it took like literally 10 minutes to boot up. Boots OK now.
