I'd say it's the same bug he already tracked down and squished on SS Studio Pro; yet I ahd never noticed it with Power Metal

yeah, i've noticed that too when i used ShapeShifter's theme preview on certain themes. i think it has something to do with ShapeShifter.

Its definitely the dancing ant bug. I will be fixing that, and will let you all know here when I do.
