Where did you get the 10 pack from?
I leave batteries in the units I use once in a while, but anything put into long term storage has the battery removed.
Do you have Graphing Calculator installed? If so, it will give an error when you open it on a 68k Mac. "Sorry, Requires Power Macintosh" or something to that effect.

System Profiler is notorious for miscomputing CPU speeds for third-party cards. I'd run Metronome (you can download it from Sonnet) to get the card's actual speed.
