Seems high to me. But then again, a quick scan of eBay confirms that astronomical prices for Apple II stuff seem to be the 'in' thing right now. I'd bet someone here would have one…

Take a look at this Apple II, especially the picture, and if anyone here has some estimates as to what it's worth, I would like to know:
Apple II Plus #034, one drive disk I…

IT'S ALIVE!!!
All I know is that I put the battery back in and pressed the power button and it booted up. I don't know what happened. I don't care.
Yayz.

My PCI SCSI card is an Adaptec 7850 flavour card, model AVA 2906. A fairly common card so it could be possible that it is the same as yours. Drivers for OS X can be downloaded here…
The OP has reported what System Profile provides from DMI.
pci = PCI device
9004 = Vendor ID for Adaptec
7850 = Model number
I don't know whether Adaptec have multiple flavours…

Cut the minimum number of straps midway needed to do a binary search. Cut where the spot welds allow you to have relatively long liftable stubs. Good cells should accept a brief t…
Thanks all
I've two dead Lombard PRAM batteries here, so with luck I'll be able to make up one decent battery.
Jaycar sell a couple of potential replacement batteries too; one…
I may install the router between them to see if that will work.

Thanks again. I tried unique IP addresses for each machine to no avail.

With prices the way they are, I would agree to get a G3 powerbook. Any pre-Pismo is going to be very affordable. Even the Pismos are not too bad.
Edit: Actually I take back what…
Hear hear. I long had a cs before upgrading to the Lombard, and loved it. The screen is definitely a tad blurry though, so if you can find a c at a reasonable price, nab that.

Nope, its as simple as just going into TCP/IP and giving both machines a unique IP address. You only need a router if you're connecting the machines to the Internet. Its just a mat…
Assigning each a static address makes sense to me. Is that as simple as manually assigning the addresses in TCP/IP or do I need to connect a router in between them and do so throug…

Well, I'm happy to report that I'm posting this from my freshly-renovated Beige G3! I scrounged eBay and found a nice Rage128/16 card, a 500MHz G3/ZIF chip, and a set of overclock…
Why do you need DHCP, anyway? If you've only got the two machines on the network, wouldn't it be easier to just give each a static IP? (most likely in the 192.168.0.xxx range)

So see if one cell is shorted, eliminate it, then reconnect the remainder and try. Also, complete assemblies of unknown quali…
Hi,
As per my Conquests post, I've built up one "good" Lombard Powerbook G3 from two, which is specced as:
- 333 @ 433Mhz (did this once before, and it's rock solid yet again!), …
Try putting a router in between them. I had a my PowerBook 150 connect to my iMac G3 (9.2.1) instantly after the driver installed for the ENSC Mini and rebooted.
