In DVD Player, you just choose the VIDEO_TS folder in the "Open DVD Media" dialog. Then you hit play on the controller. You don't actually select a specific file.

Truly bizarre. If you're using the same dock cable with your computer and with the other charging devices there's something fishy going on. If not, it's the cable(s).
