I've got 1 gig in a Pismo 500. It makes all the difference. It's the most important upgrade you can make. My wife's iBook only takes 320mb and I wish it would take more. PeteWK

Going from 256 to 512 or 768 will yield a significant gain in performance, but going on from 768 to 1gb doesn't give much gain. At least, that has been my experience.

Ram is always worth the price. Everything will become much more smoother.

You can't afford not to get more RAM.
