What model PowerBook? Some of them just have Philips 0 or 00 screws.

It's a small Phillips. Don't know the technical name of the size, but it's the kind you would find on many small electronic devices.

Why not just buy a FW/USB external hdd unit. I think the largest one out is either 250 or 300GB now.

Yes. And you need to do the Bluetooth Firmware Update in order for Bluetooth devices to be able to wake up your PB from sleep.
