I am running a 9.0.4 on a DVSE and my screen keeps flashing and then shrinking while i am using it. Help Please

Try trashing the monitors preferences file.

I have already had to get a new iMac already and will do so again only as a last resort. I posted in Apples tech forum. I am confused as to why it has just begun doing this?

is your iMac plugged into a surge protector or line conditioner, or is it plugged into the wall, or is it close to a fluorescent light or a dimmer or anything of this sort?

well do try reorienting your tv or your Mac... move them away from each other and also try to use a power circuit for your Mac that is not being used by anything else
