My 3g would last perhaps 5 hours as I would always skip tracks which really eats up the battery. So far my shuffle is at 10 hours or more and the light is still green indicating t…

If I understand correctly, there's earphones, a dock with a data port and line out, a charger with a FireWire port, an iPod->FW cable and an iPod->USB2 cable.

Hmm, no replies.
OK, I'll try to shorten it:
is the iPod's data port the same port as the on the back of the dock?

i have bought another f.w. cable so that i can charge the iPod when at work with the brick and the original is attached to the dock for synching with my mac and char…
Another thing is that the ipod does not get re-synced each time it only gets updated from the itunes machine.
So if you have a 40 gig,the first time will take a while to sync but a…

Please post any info you might have on this.
It's just basic electronics....Cut the wire, then splice them both together. You could use electrical tape or those screw on connecters you can pick up at radioshack. Just tell the…
My post was a bit vague. I orginally wanted to cut the end off, remove some wire, and re-attach it. My objective was to keep it clean, ie no shrinktube or solder. i think what I wi…
I am picky about stuff like this. To be honest, its worth the 40 dollar risk. I will be attempting it when my tools finally show up. I will be sure to post how it turns out

Nobody knows for sure.
As for new "types" of iPods - not likely. We just got a new type - the Shuffle.
As for new models of iPods - that's also unlikely, though if anything we mi…
