Just as the opposite example. Missile Command is a game written in 1984 for the Mac 128k and System 1.0. It also runs on the latest Power Mac G3 system with OS 9.2.2.

Sounds like it was a slightly used/upgraded system and the seller found a mint box to stuff it in. If I was going to flip a shrinkwrapped item I would not open it.
I know for a fact Dinosaur Discovery Kit (from First Byte) doesn't work on SE/30s. This was explicitly stated in the third edition of the Macintosh Bible. (It supposedly only works…

Yes, shame he opened it to take the photos, but I guess he felt he had to, to post it. I would have just used a stock 1400 photo, I guess.

16 Meg 30-pin SIMMs are still listed at OWC (Item # OWC30PS16MB) for $9.97. If you need 'em, grab 'em while they're available and max out that SE30 or Q950.
I presume the 1.5GB RAM limit in OS9 is why my Sawtooth (AGP graphics G4) with 2GB RAM installed shows Built-in Memory 1.99GB; VM Off; Largest Unused Block 1.45GB; and MacOS using …
