My poor batteries... iBook Clamshell & PB1400 — #3

My poor batteries... iBook Clamshell & PB1400 — #2

DON'T put any Clamshell battery parts into the 1400 battery or vice versa. The cells in ALL iBook batteries are Li-Ion cells, whereas the 1400 uses NiMH. Interchanging them would b…

Beige G3 won't boot — #2

first thought, duff RAM/slot, try one memory stick at a time and see what happens or if there is only one then try a different stick. If that doesn't work then I'd suspect a knack…

Weird Sawtooth G4 Performance Issues... — #11

The problem here is you are using a new OS with high overheads on a very old CPU and clapped out graphics card. Tiger should give you a much smoother ride.

The PCI box for 3400? — #5

The Magma expansion chassis was compatible with any Mac with a PCMCIA or PCI slot. In the old days, I believe they made Nubus expansion chassis too.

The PCI box for 3400? — #3

So those PCI-PCI expansion boxes are common? Was the 3400 the only Powerbook that was capable of such an expansion option? This is friggin' awesome!

Magma made one. I've seen things about them online like this. They show up on ebay occasionally. The PCI-PCI expansion boxes seem more common.

This is more trivia now, but it used to be in the old days of System, and I think this is System 6 and before, you could really mess up a Mac by creating a file named .Sony.
