Video accelleration in Wallstreet II? — #2

I'm sure it's possible with hours and hours of soldering and hacking work. I would say it's impossible, but everything's possible. In other words, the task is impossible. http://…

Video accelleration in Wallstreet II? — #3

The DVD kit uses a hardware processor on a PC card, so I'd guess that you can do some video off of the motherboard. As far as replacing the onboard processor, forget it.

how to test wallstreet modem out of PB? — #2

I don't think the Wallstreet's modem is similar to the modem in the iMac. I believe the Power Macintosh's modem is similar to the one in the Wallstreet. Correct me if I'm wrong, g…

how to test wallstreet modem out of PB? — #3

Actually, krabat is absolutely correct that the modems are alike: the tray-loading iMacs, Blue and white G3, and Yikes! (PCI Graphics) G4s all inherited the Wallstreet internal mod…

how to test wallstreet modem out of PB? — #6

Anybody know? Thinking: CAN it only be tested when attached to the motherboard, or does a testplatform with powersupply exist, that a super mac-enthusiast might have...? It costs a…

Buying Advice — #7

The one thing that is likely to encourage Apple to speed bump the PowerBook line is if they introduce new or speed bumbed iBooks. Since the iBook SE runs at 366Mhz and current slow…

Buying Advice — #8

Here's why I think a speed bump in September is unlikely: What would they bump the speed to? Right now, it's at 400 and 500 MHz. What would the 500 go to? And if it goes higher,…

They might up the speed a bit before MWSF, but I doubt it. Even if they do, it's probably no big deal - at most the low-end Pismo will be 450. Really, is there any difference betwe…
