Well... I mean... if you're gonna leave stuff out on the curb (i.e. trash) what do you expect is gonna happen? If you really "cared" about it you wouldn't have trashed it, imo.

Have you left them for a while connected to the mains to power on? Have you tried the keyboard poweron button? Have you disconnected floppies and hard disks?
