Just a quick question.. How can you upgrade the emate 300 memory.. I see an extra slot but not sure what is compatible with that slot... Anyone know what I should be looking for???

Thanks,
Matt

If I recall Newertech made some cards. But I have never seen them. My guess is that these may be a rare thing to find.

Very rare to find indeed. And I've heard...stuff...about the Newton Sales upgrade, so if I were in the market I'd try to find the Newertech part.

Says out of stock but you can email and ask - I'd be pushy.  When I emailed about their 180mhz 3400c main board, they just said out of stock:  http://www.pchub.com/uph/laptop/344-20557-2436/Apple-Newton-eMate-300-Memory-Module.html- $30.18 (with free shipping; but they won't have it, I don't think)

There's also always $170 + shipping - http://newtonsales.com/emate.htm

In any event, the picture through PCHub - which by the way is an incredible site - should show you what you're looking for.

Look on eBay for a unit with both slots filled.

Or make me an offer for mine!

I bought a Canadian (I think) clone of the Newertech module. It works fine. Unless you are using the emate intensively, the standard spec is pretty good. You have to write an awful lot of notes to run out of space.

This is NOT the module for the memory expansion slot - it is OEM with every eMate.

The NewerTech modules do show up on eBay every once in a while and can be pricey. Its nice when a less-than-thorough seller lets an eMate go without knowing about an included treasure.

Sorry
