First time boot for incomplete Lisa XL

Today I used my newly acquired Lisa XL with Macintosh motherboard to test my other incomplete Lisa XL
I switched motherboard and PSU and tested. And yes.... it worked!! Not very good. The image of the screen was shaking, but it seems to work! This means that the monitor and the video board are working.

I was wondering if anyone knows why the screen is shaking. Maybe caps that are bad? Or can I adjust something?

On a regular Lisa, I'd remove the top, and there are 4-5 pots along the top of the analog circuit board that adjust horizontal and vertical hold, screen height and width, etc.

These pots can become intermittent connections over time. You can use some contact cleaner and rotate them back/forth while the machine is running to adjust the screen and clean up the connections.

Usual warnings about being around live CRTs apply.

If this is your machine with the Mac motherboard, this advice may not apply, since I don't know if you're using that part of the Lisa video circuitry.

The image is even more clear now. I adjusted the image on the back of the PSU. Now the screen is crystal clear!
