I got given three Powerbook Duos today! On the downside, I tested the 2300 and the power adaptor popped and smoke came out.. 

The same happened with a different adaptor and a 280.... 

Any ideas? 

I have a third adaptor and I don't want it to die... Do Duo Power supplies readily die?? My power supply at home is fine....
