... seriously. I rarely get sick. But I've been feeling it coming on for the last two hours or so. I hope its related to something I ate and not the beginning of the dreaded flu. Since I don't feel weird otherwise, I'l assume its something I ate for now.

All the signs are there: 5 or 6 trips to the can will almost purely liquid diarrhea, a bloating stomach with the occasional acidic burp. Its definitely coming soon. I wish I was an "inducer" -- Im just not.

I won't give you anymore play by play til it happens but I'll try to post when its over.
Yikes. Don't really have any advice, but good luck when you finally up-chuck.
Even though you don't feel like it, drink lots.
Thanks guys !!

It's over. I was actually editing "a play by play" to "anymore play by play" when the final compulsion hit. I hit 'Post' and ran.

I feel 10 times better now and am drinking ice-water. I think it musta definitely been the take-out I got tonight thoughI didn't see any obvious "suspects".

OK, I'll quit grossing everyone out now ... carry on.
usually when you feel the need to throw up, it usually makes you feel better to just throw up... the more you hold it back, the worse it gets, and the more possibility that the thing that is making you feel bad will be absorbed by your body, making the sickness last longer. Thats just my personal experiance

P.D.
Don't drink iced water. The cold will irritate your stomach. Get yourself a coke, open and stir until it is completely flat. Drink.

Best remedy there is for an upset stomach and the only time I will ever touch coke.
Well,

I hope you choke on your vomit and die!

Assclown.

Do I suck ASS?

Most certainly yes.

Anyway, best thing is burnt toast... seriously, the carbon absorbs the toxins in your stomach. I find the best way to make yourself feel better after a bender is the old two fingers down the throat method. Never fails.

My doctor actually recommended this with Coke or Lemonade when I was really dehydrated a while back (Pneumonia).

Works like a charm.

Peace.
Actually, one of the best ways to rehydrate is as follows:

1 litre of water
1 teaspoon of salt
8 teaspoons of sugar

This is common knowledge in tropical countries where cholera is pretty common. I've heard it's much more efficient than gatorade or any other sports drink at getting fluid levels back up (which is good, because a bad case of cholera will have you ****ing 20 litres of fluid a day)

Doubt its any good for an upset stomach tho
[Garth fears throwing up if he talks to his dream girl.]

Wayne Campbell: I say hurl. If you blow chunks and she comes back, she's yours. If you spew and she bolts, then it was never meant to be.

Garth: Hey Phil, if you're gonna spew, spew into this.

I find that ginger ale works really well too. Haven't tried flat coke.

I gave the edited version...

Hmmm ... well, about 45 minutes after my last post, I did it again (all the water I drank, I guess). And started getting chills and going to the bathroom again -- and must have had a few hallucinations since there is a bunch of stuff I swear I saw happen last night yet there seems to be no evidence this morning. Weird. Don't worry, Demonhat, college drinking taught me one important lesson ... ALWAYS sleep on your stomach (or turn your buddy on his stomach) if you think puking is in the works.

I'd always heard that one should drink clear liquids (Gatorade Ice, Ginger Ale, water, Sprite. lemonade). The "burnt toast" idea sounds interesting. I think I'm going to go get a GIANT lemonade as see what that does. Glad I'm off today and tomorrow.

Anyway, I really WILL stop posting about this now ... the next *hurl* will NOT be televised
Thanks.. this is not the bodily functions network.

Feel better

Get out more.

Loser.
Not that this helps you any but my 8 year old threw up in bed last night. He sleeps in the upper bunk and just leaned over the railing and let fly. It really splattered all over the place when it hit the carpet. Two-thirty in the morning and I'm shampooing barf stains out of the carpet. Children are great.
awesome!!!

Whoa, if you'd told him to get a life and get laid, you'd almost sound like ambush. [/fight-picking]

I kid. I kid.

So how are you feeling, Krusty? Take it like a champ?

Careful, though, my friend in college tried that once when he was sick. In fact, he had to be hospitalized for water poisoning...
