I posted a wanted ad for vintage macs on freecycle just recently since my curiosity about the old things has gotten the better of me.
Just an hour later, I get a reply!
Even though it was worded rather strangely, I said ok. I go to the house and there is a Macintosh SE FDHD on the stoop waiting for me. I take it home and it powers right up, running System 7.1! One thing I notice though is that the speaker makes a static pip when you turn it on or off. Anyone know why? It did not get rained on or anything. This is the first "toaster" mac I have ever used, and it is far older than any of the macs I have. I think I may go back to the past and try out System 6.0 on it. :b&w:
