can I read my gmail with 512 × 384 pixels?

So, I am still chicken about doing the VGA mod to my Color Classic.  But I am OK doing the software mod that will let me put a over clocked 575 logic board in my Color Classic.

So here is my question.  My plan was to use the CC to mostly read my gmail.  Can I still do that with the screen at  512 × 384 pixels?

Thanks

jack

You should be able to use the mobile site, I would think.

Sometimes, you have to boldly go where no one has gone before, so...

Setup your gmail to use pop3 and use Eudora...

As has probably been mentioned elsewhere, a Color Classic won't exactly run at warp speed, especially on the internet. Although it could potentially run at 1/8 with the 575 board in it.

Thanks to all for the help.  I am going to do the software patch and roll in a 575 board with 128MBs of RAM, a crystal upgrade, and a full 68040 (is this the correct one?) CPU.  I can not find any 70ns 512K 68pin VRAM SIMMs, so I am going to use the 80ns ones. So, I will have the horsepower, but only a 512 X 384 screen.

Will old Eudora under 512 X 384 pixels?

Question for TheWhiteFalcon:  I do not know what "use the mobile site" means.  Can you explaine a little bit more about this to me please?

Thanks everyone.
