While I understand that threads about MacNN members generally get locked, it seems rather weird that some of these get locked down within minutes, some remain open for days, and some are open to this very day:

What's up with this inconsistent treatment ?
In general, it doesn't seem to me that locked threads are treated consistently, but rather based on the goodwill (or not) of the mod's. It comes close to censorship in some cases...
