Because finding a job is work itself.

In my case, it's due to the fact that I'm so awesome that companies invite me in for an interview and say: "There's no way we can hire this guy because all the women here will stop working to sleep with him in the break room and our company will fail due to his charming good looks, huge balls, and foo-man-chu."

It may be different in your case, but that's how it usually goes for me.

or he could become gay and then "sorry, ladies"

on topic, looking for work sucks because as turtle777 said "it is work itself"
Anybody else find that Monster, Careerbuilder, etc. are useless?

I'm in the market for an advertising position, and what's been working for me is to just call companies directly and find a contact. All the postings on Monster and such are like ads themselves -- "Make $100,000 your first year!"
If you don't have contacts with somone already in the business, it's tough.
Having a job sucks... enjoy your time off.

Party hard

Not to mention that it's still a "buyers" market out there.
What city in the US is best for jobs? Las Vegas? Atlanta? Charlotte?

That's relative.

If the US is a buyers market, Germany would be a ULTRA-BUYERS market...

it sux because rich employers would rather you get on the wellfare system than work, that way your only indirectly taking their money and they sleep better at night that way.

Don't be too greedy.
With your scheme, you're already getting money for doing nothing...

I have resumes posted on both Careerbuilder and Monster and I've gotten about 20 legit responses through CB and only ONE from Monster. The oddest part is that I actually got contacted by Careerbuilder for a sales position with them, I have an interview Thursday--let's hope it goes well!

Awesome. I guess I should post my resume with both places. Wait, I can do that here at work.
Well, I we were sitting around tonight and the phone rings. It is one of the places I had applied for. Now I have an interview setup for tomorrow afternoon! I guess I will just not show up after lunch at work tomorrow until late! I'll let ya'll know how it goes tomorrow.
Good luck,

by the way was that from a monster.com browser?

Nope. Maybe I should try to sleep again. I am too excited about getting to interview for a real job
Ok the interview went well. It took about 1.5 hours and I met everyone that worked there. All of the people were very enthusiastic that I was applying so we will see.
