The Air Force was doing that type of surgery when I was active duty in '74 - '76. I worked on a surgical floor.

These days they'll give you laser eye surgery for free as well. It helps you shoot better and makes it easier to wear a protective mask.

All I got was my wisdom teeth out. But military medicine is kind of no-frills. They chisled them out on local anaesthetic.
