Description:
Brand New SONY Ericsson P900 Dummy Phone. This phone is not real. It's mainly used for display purposes. This is NOT A WORKING UNIT!!!!!. Looks, weighs, and feels like the real thing. Perfect for businesses in the cell phone market. You cannot use parts of this dummy phone to replace any broken parts of a real phone. It is fused together as one whole piece there are no parts for this phone.

Maybe he's really unpopular, so he won't know that the phone actually doesn't work.

More than one person bid a lot for it.

If you own a cell phone store, it's probably worth it...I mean, you don't want a real phone that people would steal, so you display a fake one . If it aids in the sale of hundreds of them, who cares about a few hundred bucks?

Of course, I could be completely wrong, as I usually am.
I see people bidding tons of money for "this is not an actual phone, you will just be mailed instructions on how to get one cheap" crap all the time.

I even wrote a guy once asking him if he actually thought he was spending $500 on a real phone and not a text doc. He thought he was so I figure if there are that many stupid people in the world might as well take their money.

I don't know about that. Item description says it was "NEVER USED," yet when the buyer complains about it, the seller justifies it by saying it was a used item.
I think that I would save the $520 for a G5.
